Activities
Activities are the heart of the permit
review process. An activity is a task
that can take place for a case or permit.
Typical activities include application reviews, revisions, approvals,
denied permits, issued permits, and various kinds of inspections. For example, the activities for a building
permit will include site inspections, plan check reviews, special district
reviews, and issued permits. An activity can have up to three
dates. The dates represent milestones
for a specific activity. Each
activity will also have a “Disp (done by)” column that list the word “Done”
if an activity/task has been completed.
However, it does not represent the outcome of the
activity. For example, a Building
permit activity of “Final Inspection” may have done in the “Disp (done by)”
column, but the Final Inspection may have failed. You must contact staff of the Department of Planning,
Engineering and Permits to get the status of an activity. A condition is a circumstance that must be
corrected before a project can proceed. For example, all building materials
might need to be removed from a site before tenants can move into a building
or a certain type or color of brick must be used prior to issuing a
certificate of completion or occupancy. Each Condition may include a
Title, ID, Tag and Status. The title
is a description of the condition, the ID and Tag are internal identifiers
assigned by the software and the status is the outcome of the condition. |
