Parcel Information
Use one of the following three options to
view parcel information. You may search
using all or part of a (1) parcel number, (2) owner name, or (3) site
address. Filling in some of the
information will return more results.
Note: a maximum of one hundred parcels will display. Note: After clicking the search button, a
page will display with the specific parcel or a list of parcels. If you need additional information, you
must click the parcel number. 1. Search for a Parcel by Parcel
Number If you have a parcel number,
you can type the number in the parcel number box and click the search
button. Note: The parcel number has 18 digits. The following example shows
a breakdown of the parcel number. 012200323016029000
Most of the parcel number can be
found on the Jefferson County Tax Assessor Property Tax notice. The County designation and subarea are not
listed on the tax notice. The County
designation is 01 (Jefferson) and the subarea is 00 (Jefferson). The parcel should have six digits. You must add three zeros to the end of the
number for a total of six digits 2. Search for a Parcel by Owner’s
Name If
you know the name of the owner, you can search for information By name. Last name must be first.
Type the appropriate information in the box and click search. 3. Search for a Parcel by Site
Address If you do
not know the parcel number, you can search for information by site address. Type the
appropriate information in the boxes and click search. Note: Addresses can be tricky.
If you enter an address and no information
is returned, you may need to enter
less or more information.
Example: If 707 20th
St W does not return any results,
try entering 707 20th St. Street directions can be
important. Using the direction will
return fewer choices. Leaving it off
will give you a longer list to choose from. For example, “14th
Ave” could return addresses on “14th Ave N “, 14th Ave S,” or
“14th Ave NW”. A Special
Case: Some addresses in Ensley must
be entered carefully. Usually the
words “avenue” or “court” are abbreviated in the type field. In Ensley, these words are considered part
of the address name and must be
spelled out and included in the Street Name field. Examples are “’Avenue
U”, “Court W”, and “Terrace M”. For more details about how to search by
address, click here. |
